These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ArchCards application and this website (together, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using ArchCards you agree to these Terms.
1. License
ArchCards is proprietary software. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the application for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sublicense, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the Service except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- violate any applicable law or regulation
- infringe the intellectual-property rights of others
- distribute malware or attempt to disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
3. Your content
You retain all rights to the decks and cards you create. Because that content is stored locally on your device, you are solely responsible for backing it up. We claim no ownership over anything you author.
4. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors and contributors of ArchCards shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost data — arising from your use of the Service.
6. Third-party components
The Service bundles open-source components, each governed by its own license. Those licenses are listed in the application's "About" screen.
7. Changes to the Service
We may add, change, or remove features over time, and we may revise these Terms. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the project maintainers reside, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
