Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 3, 2026

ArchCards is designed to be offline-first. This policy explains what limited data we handle and why. It is written in plain language on purpose — if anything is unclear, please contact us.

1. Data we collect

The mobile app collects nothing by default. Your decks, cards, and review history are stored locally on your own device. We have no servers that receive this content, and there is no account to create.

2. This website

This marketing site is a static export served over a CDN. We do not set tracking cookies. Standard web-server request logs (IP address, user-agent, requested URL) may be retained by our hosting provider for a short period to protect against abuse.

3. Optional sync

If you turn on cross-device sync, your decks are transferred with end-to-end encryption so they can be read only by your own devices. Sync is off by default and can be disabled at any time.

4. Crash reports

Crash reporting is opt-in. If you enable it, a report containing the stack trace and non-identifying environment details (OS version, app version) is sent so we can fix the bug. Reports never include the contents of your cards.

5. App stores

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. When you download or update ArchCards, those stores process the transaction under their own privacy policies — we never receive your payment details.

6. Your rights

Because your data lives on your device, you are in full control: delete the local database and it is gone. There is nothing for us to export or erase on your behalf.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted here with an updated date at the top of the page.
